Elk Poster For School

We had to make an animated poster about a potential game. Our game options were WWII military guys, adventurers or Elk,deer, beaver and such. I thought it would be cool to take the elk option and making it more fantastical. I took inspiration from the king of the forest and the forest spirit. I also looked at native art and Inuit art ( I am Canadian). The idea was to have the elk be made of the aurora but when I showed my concept to my teacher disliked my concept and wanted it to be more realistic. I still kept some of my initial ideas with the pattern in his fur . All in all I am happy how it turned out though I would have loved to do the more magical feeling art.
